Michel is a wealth of knowledge, not just the Vimy Ridge Memorial but also other area war cemeteries. We were also able to arrange an afternoon visit to La Chapelle D’armentieres to visit the grave of my Great Uncle. We visited other War Cemeteries during our return to Gare Arras. Would highly recommend if considering visiting Vimy Ridge Memorial. Merci Michel for making an emotional day even more memorable.

Michel is an excellent tour guide. He pointed out many sites on our way to Vimy Ridge. There was complimentary water waiting for us. On our return trip Michel showed us more sites. This is a must on your to do list and worth every penny.

We booked Michel for 2 trips, one for Vimy, and one to Beaumont -Hamel and Thiepval. We’re so glad we did. He offered additional context and insight along the drive, pointing out other areas of interest, and taking a different route each way so that we could see more. His suggestions of how much time we should allow at each site was right on, and we had only to call him if we wanted an earlier or later pick up. After discovering more information about my great uncle at Thiepval, Michel made an extra stop at a tiny gravesite, where my great uncle very possibly lies. It was very moving for me, and I really appreciated Michel’s willingness to accommodate us. I highly recommend him.

My father and I visited Northern France for the first time to see the Beaumont Hamel and Vimy Ridge War Memorials (my first time overseas), and Michel made the trip infinitely better! He was polite, patient, enthusiastic, and made a genuine attempt to show us more than simply the memorial sites, such as additional graveyards and scenic routes through towns. I cannot recommend RMB and Michel enough!

We would highly recommend Michel if you are needing a taxi from Arras to Vimy. Michel provided a pleasant and informative journey from Arras and Vimy and back. We enjoyed the extras – driving through the Village, showing us the Commonwealth, French and German cemetaries and the Fraternization Monument. Je recommande fortement les services de Michel Bernard. Il est venu m’accueillir a la Gare d’Arras comme de prévu et m’a déposé au Mémorial Canadien de Vimy en me laissant tout le temps dont j’avais besoin pour découvrir le grand monument, visiter deux cimetieres de soldats situés a peu de distance du Monument et le Centre d’accueil avec ses explications détaillées écrites et visuelles. Finalement, j’ai passé 5 heures fascinantes et émouvantes sur le site du Monument, ce qui n’est pas du tout trop long pour ceux qui s’intéressent vraiment a l’importance historique de ce lieu…le temps de réfléchir et de mieux comprendre les sacrifices énormes des soldats morts pendant la Grande Guerre. Michel m’a fait découvrir aussi d’autres sites—cimetieres de soldats de la Grande Guerre et le Mémorial de la Fraternisation tout en fournissant quelques explications sur la route de retour vers Arras en fin de journée.

We stayed at the historic Hotel Les Trois Luppers in Arras in early April, 2019. The hotel provided us with a brochure for RMB Transports. It described their tour options. We made an appointment and Rahma picked us up promptly the next morning. She took us to Vimy Ridge, Beaumont-Hamel and a cemetery that we had requested. Rahma was an excellent tour guide and we had fun travelling the charming roads through lovely French villages. She politely let us practise our poor French. Rahma’s English is very good. She is also a safe driver and her BMW was very clean. It was a day to remember.

In addition, he picked us up and dropped us off at extremely convenient, easily accessible spots, and he recommended other sites in the area which we should visit. We recently visited Ecoivres Cemetery with Bernard and he looked after us very well in what was a very emotional experience. Bernard also took the time to visit some other sites in the area. Highly recommended.
