Our service

How many people can you take in your car?

We can cater for 4 adults. For greater comfort, 3 adults and 1 child are recommended.

What type of vehicle is used?

This is a hybrid passenger vehicle insured for 5 people.

Do you provide water in the vehicle?

Small bottles of water (50cl) are available for passengers.

Can I choose a different timetable from those shown on the website?

Yes, this is possible. However, you will need to specify your request by e-mail or telephone.

What are the working hours?

Our opening hours are from 9am to 6pm.

Are you available every day of the week?

Depending on the period, transfers / visits are possible on Saturdays and Sundays. Please contact me to check availability.

Do you stay on site during visits?

Yes, I will remain in the visitor car park throughout your visit so that I can be at your disposal when you return.

Canadian Vimy Memorial

What are the opening hours of the Visitor Centre at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial?

1 May to 31 October: 10am to 6pm (from 12pm on Mondays)

1 November to 30 April: 9am to 5pm (from 12pm on Mondays)

How long does it take from Arras station to the Canadian memorial at Vimy?

It takes an average of 20 minutes to get there and 30 minutes to get back.

How long does it take to visit the Canadian National Vimy Memorial and its annexes?

You should allow around 3 hours for a complete self-guided tour.

Is it possible to have a guide on site to visit the Canadian vimy memorial?

Yes, you will need to contact the Canadian guides in the interpretation centre (+33 9 67 12 98 31).

Can I visit the underground section of the Vimy Memorial on my own?

No, you must be accompanied by a Canadian guide before you can visit.

Can we eat on site?

Yes, if you bring your own lunch. However, there are no restaurants or cafés on site.

Can we stay for more than 3 hours?

Yes, this is possible, but additional charges will apply.

What are the opening hours of the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial Visitor Centre?

Paying tribute from a distance

Can we combine the visit with a visit to the graves of our ancestors?

Yes, it’s possible, but please contact us by e-mail (cmichel.bernard@gmail.com) and let us know the name of the cemetery and the town.

Can we only visit our soldier’s grave?

Yes, this is entirely possible.
